Ignorance Is Not a Badge of Honor

If you don't understand how you can effectively use Web 2.0 applications and social media as marketing tools to encourage user engagement with your web site and promote your brand, maybe you shouldn't be in this business. Mocking said applications and networks to another professional does not inspire confidence in your abilities.

(Please note that this does not apply to The Peevery because I don't give a shit about user engagement or promoting my brand. I only care about promoting my ASS in your FACE.)

(Please note that I don't even care about promoting my ass in your face but that I was momentarily inhabited by the spirit of a nine-year-old boy who made type that, you RETARD BUTTLICKER.)

(Please note that I am now going to bed as I appear to have completely lost my shit.)

I hope I don't run into you at that pizza place we both like.

Dear fellow hometown Yelper:

This is not an useful, cool or funny review: "I've never been here but I hear it's good."

It's not useful at all to see that review duplicated more than 50 times on more than 50 places.

And you're one of those "first" people, so you're "first" on almost every thing you've Yelped about. Uncool.

Yelp Help! Please!

I can't stop Yelping.  I Yelped today more than I worked.  Yelp's gonna get me fired, but I can't help it.

I'm going back to the Scooby Doo Mystery Machine with Shaggy now.

I just realized that I double posted on my own blog.  Like, I totally wrote about something, and then three days later I wrote about the same something, and I didn't even remember it.  Like, wow, I totally spaced.

Digital

Did you know that starting February of 2009, analog signals will be going away?  I can only presume TBS REALLY wants you to know that given the number of commercials they have going on for it.  My only confusion - TBS isn't a channel that you pick up with an antenna so why on earth are they marketing something so important on a channel that caters to those of us who already have cable?

Universal Charger for All of Your Devices

Remember that universal charger I mentioned in some post or another within the past few weeks. It is on woot.com right now for $5, but there is a Woot Off going on so it will be gone shortly. If you miss it there, check it at Electronic Metro.

DELETE!!!

We can't use the color printer at work because no one can cancel a print job from the queue. And no other jobs can be printed until that one. It's some random flier from May 7th and it's already printed. Several times. We haven't had any trouble printing in the last month, but somehow this job crept back in to the queue and won't leave. We've turned the printer off and on, we've tried to un-install the printer from the computer of the person who sent the job, we took away her print privileges, nothing works. We've canceled it, and it says "deleting" but it never actually deletes. WTH????

Veruca Salt

I wish there were a way I could just view all the new comments on The Peevery in one fell swoop, rather than having to view each post individually. I'm too lazy to actually have to click on each post, then

DAMNIT! As I was typing it occurred to me that maybe if I used that little 'next post' link at the top, it would show the comments, thus saving me from having to click on each post and then it's comment link separately.

Is it me, or have the number of spam emails going into the regular Yahoo inbox increased to an amazing amount this past week?
