Would Have Been Pissed had I Shown Up.

I was supposed to volunteer tonight at a show.  I was not really feeling it and went to the website to see what time the show started to figure out if I could leave early.  Usually with the rock shows all I have to do is the initial seating and don't have to spend the whole show there.  Imagine my surprise when I see the words "Cancelled" under the show heading.  Apparently there is illness.  It is 11:30 in the morning and so far nobody has contacted me to tell me not to show up at 6:00 tonight.  Glad I don't have to volunteer, not so glad about the lack of communication from the volunteer coordinator. 

It is now 4:30 and I have had no notification that I'm not supposed to show up tonight.  I'm now even more annoyed with them and will have to email the volunteer coordinator in some passive aggressive fashion and say "Is it my job to check on the status of shows or was someone supposed to tell me the show tonight was cancelled?"
