So I was watching The Fashion Show last night on Bravo and it ended and I was shutting things down on the computer and getting ready to head for bed. I hadn't turned the TV off when I catch what is on and it was this cute little girl and I paused to see what was going to happen. The show was Real Housewives of New Jersey (I think it was NJ) and the little girl was about 5 and she had a little sister who was 3. She was getting ready for her dance recital dress rehearsal at a hair salon where she got her hair and makeup done (peeve #1). So her mom shows her little outfit to the others in the hair salon and it is hotpants with hearts on the ass (peeve #2) and a little vest thing. Next they cut to her showing her dance to the ladies in the salon. My jaw dropped. Among her moves was the one where you squat down and then stand back up (with ass to audience) and then she did a little 'sexy' walk and look back. The whole time all I could think was "SHE'S FIVE!!" I was so appalled at the complete inappropriateness of the whole routine. (peeve #3)
(I confess I did watch a little bit more and there was a red headed lady with like 3 kids (I believe all over the age of 18) and a husband and their bit was really funny because they were talking about what tatoos they were going to get and getting more outlandish about the descriptor just to torment their dad. It was cute and much more appropriate.)
