Too many variables, I'm done

I have always maintained that despite the ridiculously large number of assholes on the road,  I would always try to be as polite and considerate a driver as I can be. Until now. I'm done.

Here's the thing: Lately, the decision on which lane to be in when I'm the second or third car approaching a  red light is causing me too much stress.

The situation: A two lane road at a busy intersection that has no advanced green light. I am going straight.

1. Car X in left lane = no. Easy decision, I take that lane.
2. Car X in left lane with no left indicator on, car Y in right lane = no. Normally, I stay in the left lane behind  car X because there may be a car behind me who would like to go right and might have the opportunity to do so on the red if I'm not in it, waiting to go straight.

Every day this week, I have been in the left lane behind Car X who has no left turn indicator on, so I've assumed that Car X is going straight because HE HAS NO INDICATOR ON. Every single day, when the light has turned green, Car X has inched forward and then put his left turn indicator on, leaving me stuck behind him while all the cars in the right lane go flying past me. FUCK!

I am sorry but I am now going to have to be the asshole sitting happily in the right lane waiting for the light to change and if you're behind me wanting to go right, suck it. Car X ruined it for you.

You lost me at 1. but I totally understand what you're saying about worrying about other people, no one is looking out for you but YOU. Sadly.

Turning right on red is a privelge, not a right (well, I guess it is a right, but you know what I mean :-) IF you are at the front of the line, then by all means go, but if you're in any other position, you'll just have to wait.

If you are the leader of the lane then you can make the rules and make the turning right people just wait!!
