I'm sitting at home waiting for the freakin' furnace guy to come and "fix my unit" (because the service people call it a unit and not a furnace which of course I find very funny.)
You can show up any time you're ready, furnace guy. I've only been sitting here waiting on your ass. Not like I don't have other things to do.
P.S. I wrote the above at 1:19 PM. The freakin' furnace guy showed up at 3:15. He is now welding something in my basement. Guess I'm not going back to work.
p.p.s. If you ask a service company to call you on your cell phone just before the service people are ready to go to your house, but they keep ignoring your request so you have to sit at home and wait like I did, how stupid is the service company?
And you KNOW they have some idea in that 8-12 or 12-4 window what number you are. Absurd.

Same thing happens with our pest control guys - they say they'll come from 9-10 and don't show until 1 or 2. Worst case was either the guy who didn't come until 5:30 in the freaking evening instead of 9 am, or the one who didn't even show. I don't know why it took us so long to drop them. :/

Stupid service windows. I had something delivered this past Saturday - was scheduled for delivery between 1:30 and 4:30. They showed up at 4:15. Really, why not just wait until 4:29?
